Hi all - hope you can help with a mio10 firmware update issue... (I'm currently running 1.0.1 on the mio10)
Updated to iConfig 4.2.5 to end the "endless firmware update downloading" issue. Seems to work - so I'm on that version of iConfig now.
When I click on "Upgrade Firmware" on the Device tab it says " No Upgrade Required" ... hurm. iConnectivity web site shows a beta firmware (1.0.3b2 - May 4th 2017) woot!
Well... iConfig won't load it (perhaps because it's a beta?). iConfig new feature "Upgrade Firmware From Local Drive" sounds promising so I download the .mid firmware file, chose it, and get a "device not responding" message - AND also a "be sure computer is plugged into Port 2 of device" message (in separate windows). If I plug the PC into port 2 - on the front of the mio10 - there is NO connection whatsoever (so - no firmware update will happen that way ...) if I keep the PC plugged into USB port 1 - on the back of the mio10 - eventually, after saying, yes, no, closing the pop ups etc. it says that the mio 10 is in boot loader mode, and THEN - on it's own - loads firmware 1.0.1, reboots, and I'm back where I started from. (and just HOW did it load 1.0.1 by itself?)
How is the new "Upgrade Firmware From Local Drive" feature supposed to work EXACTLY? I'm assuming that you dload the file to disk, chose that file, unit goes into to boot loader mode, loads file, reboots the mio10 and .... party time. No? If no... please provide EXACT directions, SPECIFICALLY FOR mio10 users (not a catch all - "here's generally how your update firmware on our devices") answer.
Any help appreciated - thx.
