iconnectmidi 2+ "device requires too much power" on ipad

iconnectmidi 2+ "device requires too much power" on ipad, tried different ipads, same.
using the iconnectivity cables, tried different ones. It's plugged into wall power socket too.

If I use apple CCK it works. It worked before now though..is this ios 13 bug?
I updated to current firmware etc but hasn't helped.

  • I have never seen that on Apple's CCK that has the power option in it.
Are you using the normal CCK with just USB or the new USB3 one that has power (lightning) and USB on it?
