  • Ok thanks. But if there's no computer involved, just a ethernet switch, each interface will see the other one's 4 ethernet ports, is that correct? Sorry to ask possible redundant questions..... The case is: my iCM4+ is totally populated, inclu…
  • Hi, if I plug in a iCM4+ into the host port of another iCM4+, how many ports of the second will be available to the one that hosts? I understand that if I interconnect them using ethernet and a switch, I'll only have 4 gateway ports (correct me if I…
  • I use iConfig on a iPad2 (iOS 9.3) and noticed that if I have the NetMidi app running in the background, I have a lot less "communication lost" errors. It still happens, but I think the NetMidi app helps somehow to keep the connection alive
  • Not much more luck, got a reply, software not supported anymore, maybe one day but not in the near future, so no answers to my question: "is this supposed to work at all?". I start to think we customers should try to raise some money and hire a prog…
  • Issue found: iConfig doesn't like the Novation Remote midi port and will only start if the Remote is physically unplugged. Probably because the Remote USB midiport is a multiport device.
  • Filed a support ticket. Maybe more luck there... :-(
  • Anyone? This should work, shouldn't it? A setting I'm missing somewhere?
  • I need this feature, because I use different routings/filtering in my live sets. Crucial when working with midi loopback! Did anyone get this to work? Is there anything I can do about it? A file should have been saved somewhere, but the Apple police…
  • Hi, has this been sorted out? This question is pending for me as well.
  • OK thanks, I think I'll order a second iCM4+ then.
  • rodney_iConnectivity said: Hmmmm, took a look at the manual (should have done so before asking, apologies...) but ethernet doesn't seem to be the solution.  In my opinion, Ethernet is almost always the best solution :-) Even in a DAWle…
  • dirk said:  As for USB, one thingy remains unclear to me: I already have 6 devices connected using a 7 port-hub. So can I just plug in another iConnectivity interface and have all it's ports and functionalities available, or am I restricted to …

  • Great! So the ports of the second device will show up in iConfig, and I will be able to route from a iCM4+ port to a mio4 port (using filtering if needed?) EDIT: subsidiary question: the price difference not being a major hurdle, would you recommen…
  • I do not "characterise your experience as some sort of universal rule for everyone" by writing the phrase you quoted, and I'm a pro musician touring since 1979, pioneering in midi since 1983 as I mentioned before, as well as a (retired) VST coder, 2…
  • I've submitted the exact same issue for the exact same reason (not wanting everone to start as soon as the master device starts running) : midiclock** (not to be confused with timecode) is part of "real time events" which include the midi start-stop…
  • rodney_iConnectivity said: Of course, you are free to have whatever setup you want, but for other people reading this I need to set the record straight: RTP-MIDI over Ethernet is the most reliable MIDI you will ever get. But you still …
  • Maybe I will one day. I tried, it was not reliable (all the communication errors and "device not found" stuff you can't afford when you're working with a crew/band/team) and needs a router/switch (yet another device). We end up using "loads of inter…
  • You'll need a intermediary software running on the mac to interconnect the different universes. The iCM4 and all that is directly connected to it is one universe, the devices directly connected to the macbbook are a universe each. I am not familiar …
  • Am I banned?
  • The Touché midi controller from ExpressiveE (https://www.expressivee.com/) works, in standalone mode. It needs to be tethered directly to a computer to edit the internal memories for your external hardware. Once configured, it works well with the i…
  • I have filed a support ticket a week ago but no reactions on your side. In the meantime I have added yet another midi device (a Touché controller from ExpressiveE) to my set-up that also opens it's own midi ports and have the same issue as I have wi…
  • If a future iConnectivity MKII line would allow for regular USB to keep working I'll certainly upgrade.

  •  Rodney please, I'm living a freakin' nightmare because iConfig absolutely wants to open the Eventide ports to look for whatever, and H9Control doesn't let them go so iConfig reports that it can't open those ports and won't start. But these ports ar…
  • I figured out a workaround that magically works: when I send the clock from the master device (Elektron Digitone) first to the Novation SL25 Remote midi controller set to sync to external clock, and then have the clock echoed out over one of the SL2…
  • rodney_iConnectivity said: I have a Blofeld sitting right beside me as I type. I love that synth :-) Yep, it's surprisingly good and very deep, lots of possiblities. So much power in a small form factor (especially when you consider i…
  • My Waldorf Blofeld (desktop module) is working perfectly. That's weird because the same user (markpdunn) that reported the Novation 25 as "not working" didn't seem to get his Blofeld recognised. Both work here without a hiccup on a UGreen 7 port pow…
  • I tested the Seabord block but they're basically all the same. You need to plug it in a regular USB hub when you need to configure it via their "Dashboard" app, but the settings are saved in the device so it doesn't need to remain tethered. Once con…

  • I can confirm that Roli Seaboards work with iCM4+ in all modes.

  • What would be a similar procedure on Windows10? I have at least 10 "communication lost" events per day, and often need to reboot because iConfig won't restart (Windows reports that a previous instance resides in memory).
