ICONNECTIVITY INTRODUCES THE TWO NEW MIOXL AND MIOXM MIDI INTERFACES

iConnectivity introduces the two new MIDI interfaces mioXL and mioXM
The manufacturers who still produce MIDI interfaces, you can almost count on one hand. And that although a lot of our readers have a great interest in it. In 2019, MIDI will be anything but "out", and it's not without reason that almost all synthesizers, keyboards, workstations and more will continue to be equipped with MIDI jacks. Incidentally, we have summarized the current developments on the subject of MIDI in the following article.
One of the manufacturers that continues to rely on MIDI interfaces is iConnectivity and they have just introduced two new interfaces: mioXL and mioXM.

The larger of the two interfaces, the mioXL, offers 8 inputs and 12 outputs, all of them designed as five-pin MIDI-DIN sockets. In addition, there is an Ethernet port with more far-reaching features than the classic MIDI sockets.
You can never have enough USB ports in this day and age, because it pleases the user that you can also connect ten more USB devices to the mioXL.

The mioXL controls everything via an OLED display. For example, you can click through various routing presets as well as monitor the MIDI traffic in real time. For configuration, iConnectivity offers the Auracle 2.0 software, available for Mac and Windows. Also an iOS compatibility is given. In addition to routing, this also allows, for example, the filtering and merging of MIDI data.
Here are the features of the iConnectivity mioXL in the overview
* 8 in x 12 out of 5-pin DIN-MIDI ports
* 10x USB-MIDI host ports support multiple USB-MIDI CLASS COMPLIANT MIDI peripherals
* Ethernet RTP-MIDI Network port - 22 virtual network ports can easily be assigned to onboard USB ports as well as any other connected computing devices. These make all devices accessible to Mac, PC, iOS and other mobile computing devices via a single cable.
* Connect multiple computers via assignable virtual network ports
* USB computer port supporting Mac, Windows, and iOS connectivity (iOS via CCK)
* Plug and Play - no drivers required thanks to class compliant connectivity
* OLED display with rotary encoders for navigation presets and real-time monitoring of MIDI traffic
* iConnectivity's Auracle 2.0 ™ configuration software (downloadable for Mac & Windows) makes it easy to create and save filtering / routing / merging presets
* Connect iOS devices via CCK, WiFi (using 3rd party Wi-Fi ethernet hub), or wired ethernet connections

While the mioXL is designed as a 19-inch device, the smaller version mioXM comes with half the rack width. The XM offers 4 × 4 ports, one on the front and the other three on the back. Fortunately, the Ethernet socket was not saved, so that you can address with the mioXM up to 12 virtual network ports. A maximum of four USB devices can be connected directly to the mioXM.

The display of the big brother has been saved in the mioXM, but there are some status LEDs to simplify the operation.
Here are the other features of the iConnectivity mioXM
* 4 in x 4 out of 5-pin DIN-MIDI ports
* 4x USB-MIDI host ports support multiple USB-MIDI CLASS COMPLIANT devices
* Ethernet RTP-MIDI Network port - 12 virtual network ports can be easily assigned to onboard USB ports as well as any other connected computing devices. These make all devices accessible to Mac, PC, and mobile computing devices via a single cable.
* Connect multiple computers via expandable virtual network ports
* USB computer port supporting Mac & Windows connectivity
* Plug and Play - no drivers required thanks to class compliant connectivity
* Capacitive touch control panel
* Up to four user-definable presets can be stored and recalled from MXXM's control panel
* iConnectivity's Auracle 2.0 ™ configuration software (downloadable for Mac & Windows) makes it easy to create and save filtering / routing / merging presets
* Connect iOS devices via CCK to MioX's USB device port, Wi-Fi (using 3rd party Wi-Fi Ethernet hub), or wired ethernet connection

Both interfaces are available immediately, the prices will amount to about 249, - € for the mioXM and about 399, - € for the mioXL.
