Neither Auricle 1.8.3 nor 1.8.6 see my ICM4+ on M1 mini

I know that the firmware is still at 2.0.4, is this causing the problem?  I originally started with iConnect and it would fail updating the firmware (yes, plugged into USB3).  Researching that led me to try using Auricle, but it doesn't even detect the ICM4+ much less update firmware.

Am I looking at pulling the ICM4+ and updating the firmware on an Intel Mac before moving forward with the M1?
Thanks

  • Some progress...pulled the ICM4+ and used an Intel Mac to update firmware to 2.2.1, Auracle 1.8.3 now sees the device, but I can't seem to perform any edits or assignments.  Can't change/save port names, can't seem to modify any existing port-to-port(s) assignments.  But at least the Auricle recognizes the device and otherwise provides the interface.
So, is this known bugginess?  Or what else am I dealing with?
  • A step backwards...After idly mousing around Auricle for a few minutes, I went back to the MIDI Routing page and...the entire assignment map that was visible just a few minutes ago is gone.  Poof.  Nothing changed, nothing saved, just viewing device info pages and the like, but now the Routing view is gone.  Is this happening to others as well?
  • Not sure if this is the same issue or not... sounds similar...
I just did the latest Auracle for X-Series update. I went from 1.8.1 to 1.8.7. Now when I run the software and select any of the screens (e.g. "MIDI Routing", "Presets", etc.) for my MioXL, it's completely blank. Literally. It's flat-out broken. Looks like some QA testing fell through.
  • Yep, that sounds a lot like what I'm seeing except that the routing page appears initially for me--non-functional, tho--and then disappears.  Does your hardware get recognized by Auracle on launch?  Mine doesn't, until I power cycle it.  All downhill from there...
  • Yes, mine gets recognized. No cycling needed for me.
  • Hello,
i can confirm the bug that saxman727 describes for Auracle 1.8.7 on Windows 10 (64 Bit).
I have two MioXL (both connected via USB to my PC), and with Auracle 1.8.7 both get recognized, but only one shows content on the configuration pages. For the second one all the configuration pages are blank. Both have newest firmware 1.3.2.
In Auracle 1.8.4 both MioXLs can be configured without a problem, so i've gone back to 1.8.4 for now.
    Best regards, Neni.

    Thanks, that's good to know.
  • Auracle X 1.8.8 should fix the mio X Series issues on Windows 10. We apologize for the trouble with that. You should be able to load firmware again now with Auracle X 1.8.8 (windows).

I think the original post here was on Mac OS, since it's an M1 Mac Mini.
Did you get things sorted after?
